Durham Johnston Y3 Mini Tennis

About The Event

Mini Tennis is a simplified version of the normal game of tennis, which acts as an exciting introduction to the sport for younger children.  This game uses badminton size courts, sponge balls and smaller rackets.

THE PARTNERSHIP DO NOT PROVIDE BUSES FOR TENNIS EVENTS.  EACH SCHOOL WILL NEED TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN TRANSPORT.

Entries will close for this event on Friday 7th May

Teams should consist of 8 players, 4 girls and 4 boys, from Year 3 only.  The team manager should rank the players from 1-4, keeping in mind that player 1 should be the best out of the 4.  Girls and boys  should be ranked separately.  Each child should have a sticker on them stating their name, school and ranking.  This will help the day to run more smoothly.

Schools will be asked to enter one team, with the option to enter extra teams if possible.
Children will take part in a series of matches and  fun tennis challenges during the event.  Please download the competition pack to view the challenges.
The winning team from this day will go through to the Durham City SSP final.
